Lace Poncho or Stole
One Size
Finished Length: approximately 16 inches
Materials:
4 50g balls Estelle Opulence
8mm knitting needle
Gauge: approximately 14 sts to 10cm
Abreviations:
yo: yarn over
yrn: yarn round needle
Lace Pattern
(multiple of 3 + 1 sts)
Row 1 (RS): K1, (yo, ssk, k1) to end of row.
Row 2 (WS): k1, (yrn, p2tog, k1) to end of row.
Cast on 49 sts
Work in lace pattern until rectangle is approximately 42 inches long.
Cast off loosely. Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise (rectangle is
now 21 inches long). Cut a piece of Opulence approximately 60
inches long. With the two long edges edges side by side, start at the
bottom and lace the piece of Opulence through the first eyelet on each
side as if you were lacing a shoe. When you are approximately 9
inches from the fold, start lacing to the bottom. Tie a double bow.
If you decide that you don’t want to wear the garment as a poncho,
remove the lacing and you have a stole.
