EXPERIENCE HOW MUCH AQUOS CAN DO. 1080P RESOLUTION The formula for HDTV is quite simple: the higher the picture information, the higher the picture quality. That’s why our AQUOS Full - HD televisions are designed to fully display all available signals. With its 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, the resolution is double that of conventional HD televisions. The 1080P televisions in the new AQUOS generation have the further advantage that their image is created progressively. The lines are not transferred as half-frames as before, but row after row as frames. HDTV in a higher resolution can’t be experienced. The contrast ratio also delivers blacker blacks and whiter whites even in brightly lit rooms, providing crisp, clear reproduction of LCD TV images. Dynamic contrast is a measurement of the contrast range when the backlight can be adjusted to optimize the picture based on content black levels. Dynamic contrast is limited by the display’s native contrast and can compromise a picture’s original cinematic quality.
