Beutin new Deputy Spokesperson for the Permanent Representation
of Germany to the EU
Ricklef Beutin in now Deputy Spokesperson for the German Permanent Representation to
the EU. Mr. Beutin is leaving his post in the European Commission after two years to return
to the German Foreign Service. Previously, Mr. Beutin was at the Bureau of European Poli-
cy Advisors, the policy planning staff of the EC, where he dealt with EU external relations,
namely Russia, European Neighbourhood Policy and issues of migration. Before that, Mr.
Beutin worked in the German Foreign Office in Berlin in the section for the OSCE.
Theurer joins Copura in Brussels
Sabine Theurer joined the Brussels office of Copura on 1 July. As office manager she
will be an asset to the team especially with respect to event management and back office
management. Prior to taking this position she has been assistant to the General Manager
in the Hilton Hotel, Bonn.
Laroche is the first Senior Advisor for Logos
Charles Laroche is the first appointed Senior Advisor in the newly established body of
advisors at Logos. Mr. Laroche is the Vice-President European External Affairs at Uni-
lever HPCE, a company where he has been for the past thirty-three years. In addition, Mr.
Laroche is the President of the International Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Prod-
ucts Industry Association, and a board member of the European Cosmetic Toiletry and
Perfumery Association. He is also a founder of the European Partnership for Alternative
Approaches to animal testing.
