Clearpool Amphibian Hunt<br />
Sun., March 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.<br />
Bring the whole family for an exciting day of nature and discovery! Explore<br />
the nature wonderland of the Green Chimneys Clearpool Campus at 33 Clearpool<br />
Road in Carmel, NY, and help to count its many species. You’ll be guided through<br />
one of three bodies of water using dip nets and your own hands to help search for<br />
and identify Clearpool’s collection of creatures. All equipment will be provided.<br />
Free event; children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are welcome to<br />

‘Sacred Garden Exhibit’<br />
April 5 to June 16 - Opening Reception: Fri., April 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.<br />
“Sacred Gardens” are the core of human life, sustaining and nourishing us physically<br />
and mentally. Often religiously-influenced these sacred gardens have dated<br />
back to Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, and Ancient Rome. Buddhism had a<br />
significant influence on the Zen gardens of China and Japan. Sculptures and a<br />
Labyrinth have been used to recreate the safe and tranquil space, found on these<br />
great temple grounds to contemplate and meditate. The exhibit will be featured<br />
inside the gallery and in its outside garden. Gallery 66 NY is located at 66 Main<br />

John Allen Pond Family Hike<br />

Children will be delighted to search for signs of spring as they tramp around the<br />
John Allen Pond in Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park with Hudson Highlands<br />
Land Trust’s River of Words Educator Cathy Bakker. The trail’s changing<br />
terrain and small inclines make the outing a fun family adventure. Parking area at<br />
the intersection of Dennytown and Sunk Mine Roads in Cold <strong>Spring</strong>, N.Y. Duration:<br />
2 ½ hours Level: Moderate/Family Friendly, No Strollers. There is no cost<br />
