There are a number of situations <strong>in</strong> which characters change shape to accommodate diacritics and to avoid<br />
glyphs clash<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
န + lower diacritic or medial ra → န္<br />
ည + lower diacritic → ည္<br />
ရ + lower vowel or medial other than medial h → ရ္ (short tail)<br />
ရ + medial h → ရှ (long tail with no hook)<br />
ြါ changes width accord<strong>in</strong>g to the base character be<strong>in</strong>g wrapped. It also truncates its top arm if an upper<br />
diacritic would clash with it.<br />
ြါ + ွ → ြ<br />
ါု and ါူ if they would clash with anyth<strong>in</strong>g under the base character or a tail → ါု and ါူ<br />
anyth<strong>in</strong>g that would clash with fullsize ါှ + ါှ → ါှ<br />
ဉ + medial or asat → ဥ. Which means that you never use U+1025 for U+1009<br />
