Please read this document carefully as it provides important information about the selection process and<br />

important information that will assist you with filling out the Pre-Application. If you pre-qualify, you<br />

will receive the complete Resident Selection Criteria along with an Application for Housing.<br />

S.V.D.P. Management, Inc. staff will adhere to all State, Local, and Federal laws for housing guidelines in<br />

dealing with applicants.<br />

Applicants must meet all program requirements before inclusion on the waiting list. S.V.D.P. Management,<br />

Inc. will utilize this waiting list for filling vacant units.<br />

Pre-Applications and Applications may be submitted from August 18, 2008 until October 31, 2008 or until 100<br />

eligible applications, for each AMI level, have been received. S.V.D.P Management, Inc. will notify you<br />

regarding the status of your Pre-Application within 8 weeks from the date of the receipt of your Pre-<br />

Application.<br />

Those Applicants who prequalify will be mailed an application which they will be required to complete and<br />

return to 72 17 th Street, San Diego, CA 92101; they will then be placed on the wait list in accordance with the<br />

time/date stamp on the application. Applications will be taken on first-come, first-serve basis and will be<br />

only be distributed and accepted Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 9:00am and 3:30 pm at 72<br />

17 th Street, San Diego, CA 92101. The application wait list will remain open until October 31 st or until 100<br />

eligible applications, for each AMI level, have been received.<br />

All applications must be complete (i.e., include name, income, assets, and a signature) and legible. Make sure<br />

your Pre-Application and you Application is filled out completely. Applications not filled out completely<br />

and/or legibly will not be considered for the waiting list until all information can be confirmed.<br />

Reasonable accommodation, such as alternative means of receiving or submitting applications, will be made for<br />

persons with disabilities.<br />

Applicants will be considered conditionally eligible for housing based solely on statements given on the<br />

application form. An Applicant’s position on the waiting list does not assure the Applicant housing at<br />

<strong>Boulevard</strong> <strong>Apartments</strong>. Additional third party verifications will be required.<br />

Applicants must report all application information changes (i.e. family composition, income, assets, social<br />

security numbers, etc.), as this may have an impact on their eligibility.


Applicants will be contacted periodically in order to update the building’s waiting list. S.V.D.P. Management,<br />

Inc. will mail a notice to each person on the waiting list at the time of the update. Failure to respond to these<br />

updates will cause the Applicant’s name to be removed from the waiting list. Applicants without a mailing<br />

address will need to contact S.V.D.P Management, Inc. periodically, at (619) 687-1074 in order insure their<br />

information on file is current.<br />

It shall be the responsibility of each Applicant on the waiting list to reconfirm their continuing interest in the<br />

building by visiting the S.V.D.P. Management, Inc. lease-up office at 72 17 th Street, or by notifying an S.V.D.P<br />

Property Manager independently of any changes to their contact information.<br />

UTILIZING THE S.V.D.P. Management, Inc. WAITING LIST<br />

<strong>Boulevard</strong> <strong>Apartments</strong> waiting list will follow the procedures outlined below when renting vacant units.<br />

1. After receiving a pre-application and then submitting a completed application, applicants will<br />

be placed on the wait list and contacted with an interview time. Applicants will be notified by<br />

mail regarding the status of their Pre-Applications within 8 weeks from the date of the receipt of<br />

their Pre-Application.<br />

2. A S.V.D.P. Management, Inc. representative will attempt to contact the Applicants by phone first<br />

and then by mail if applicants are unable to be reached by phone in order to confirm their<br />

interview appointments.<br />

3. At the interview, the Applicant will be asked to fill out a tenant income certification<br />

questionnaire and begin the screening process.<br />

4. If the Applicant does not respond within ten (10) working days to the first offer to be<br />

interviewed, the Applicant will be notified in writing of his/her removal from the waiting list. If<br />

the Applicant replies to the notification but declines the interview and/or the unit, the Applicant<br />

will be removed from the waiting list. Exceptions to this rule may be granted as a reasonable<br />

accommodation for Applicants with a third-party verified disability.<br />

Please refer to the charts below to determine which unit size you qualify for and which AMI level your<br />

household is in. Based on the your household’s income level, your monthly rent will be a flat rate of, $433 to<br />

$649.<br />

According to Multi-Family Housing Program requirements, units shall be rented to households with no less<br />

than and no more than the number of people specified in the following schedule:<br />

In order to be eligible for a unit at <strong>Boulevard</strong> <strong>Apartments</strong>, the Applicant’s gross annual income cannot exceed<br />

the maximum Area Median Income (AMI) limits (See chart below).<br />
