• Instead of empirical experiments, philosophers<br />
and logicians can conduct thought experiments<br />
• Thought experiments may be carried out using<br />
natural languages, graphic visualizations, and/or<br />
formalized versions of their relevant aspects<br />
• They test concepts and theories for consistency,<br />
completeness, etc., using critical intuition aided<br />
by logic tools (e.g., “reasoners”) for evaluation
