M. P. Martinetti 12/16/2011 - p. 4
ECP is a nationally recognized, peer-reviewed journal published by the American
Psychological Association (APA). Its impact factor is 1.696 (JCR, 2004) and received a
percentile rank within the discipline of 72% in 2002 (http://mdl.ipc.pku.edu.cn/pdf/jcr-
2002). The above paper appeared in a special issue of ECP, commemorating the “Decade
of Behavior.” Papers illustrating the use of behavioral techniques to approach
pharmacological questions were included in the issue. This paper appeared with papers by
several renowned behavioral pharmacologists, including Richard Meisch, who is a coauthor
on the Spiga et al. paper listed above. The second author, Matthew Andrzejewski,
and I conducted the research and wrote the paper while completing our graduate studies at
Temple University. We shared these responsibilities equally. Philip Hineline and Michael
Lewis were our respective mentors and provided conceptual contributions to the project.
Sarafino, E. P., Paterson, M. E., & Murphy, E. L. (1998). Age and the impacts of triggers in
childhood asthma. Journal of Asthma, 35(2), 211-215.
The Journal of Asthma is a nationally recognized, peer-reviewed journal of research on
asthma. This paper was the result of an Independent Study project conducted while I was
an undergraduate at Trenton State College. Edward Sarafino was the faculty supervisor of
the project. Erin Murphy and I produced a manuscript as part of the independent study
requirement, and Ed used that manuscript to form the foundation for the published paper. I
received second (rather than third) authorship on the paper because I provided substantive
conceptual comments to Ed‟s draft of the manuscript.
