In the mid 1960s, George and
Lou Kimmel took the centennial family
farm from a productive fruit and vegetable
farm to a cutting edge groundcover
and perennial nursery. 45 years
later, Twixwood Nursery is one of the
top 100 growers in the nation and has
4 growing facilities with nearly 1.5
million square feet under plastic and
hundreds of acres of outdoor container
and stock fields. We’re still growing
groundcovers on the family farm here
in the heart of America.
Over the years, Twixwood has
provided many plants for built-in-place
green roof systems as well as keeping
Midwestern landscapers and garden
centers provided with quality groundcovers
at an affordable price.
With this exclusive agreement we
keep the entire process in our control;
from filling the flats and planting the
plants, to providing all the care they
need until they ship out the door to you.
