When putting together<br />

cycling trips to other countries. I am<br />

sometimes asked, “Why are you going<br />

to that country? The people there are so<br />

unfriendly?”<br />

There was a traveler who came upon<br />

the gates of city. He asked an old man,<br />

what are the people like in this city? The<br />

old man asked, what are you like? The<br />

traveler replied, I am very friendly and<br />

enjoy meeting new people. The old man<br />

said, that is exactly what the people here<br />

<br />

Later, another traveler came upon the<br />

same city and also asked the old man the<br />

same question. The old man again asked,<br />

what are you like? The traveler responded,<br />

I do not enjoy meeting new people and am<br />

a very unfriendly person. The old man’s<br />

response was, the people in this city are<br />

<br />

Gron study on dry AMD. One member,<br />

June Meredith, volunteered and was<br />

accepted. She may tell us about the<br />

one is living with Fibromyalgia or Chronic<br />

Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), please join us on<br />

Thursday, March 28, from 1:00-3:00 PM in<br />

the Multimedia Room (OC). We will have an<br />

open discussion meeting with suggested<br />

topics. This is an opportunity for you to<br />

share a bit about your own journey and<br />

ask questions.<br />

Our April meeting will feature an overview<br />

and tour of the OC Fitness Center<br />

and the new punch system with Christine<br />

Epperson. In May, Jackie will present information<br />

on irritable bowel syndrome.<br />

Each of us has our own unique experience<br />

beginning with just wondering why our<br />

bodies just don’t seem to function the way<br />

we want them to. If you would like to be a<br />

presenter or have a particular area of interest<br />

you would like to see discussed or have<br />

presented, please let us know. We want to<br />

address your areas of concern.<br />

New attendees are encouraged to share<br />

a brief history of their experience with and<br />

diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and/or CFS. Our<br />

goal is to provide positive emotional support<br />

and information, along with suggestions<br />

for mental and physical well-being.<br />

The Bonsai Group meets the third<br />

Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM. Last<br />

month the participants attended a clinic<br />

with Hiro Matsuda at his nursery. Along<br />

with a pruning demonstration, many tips<br />

were given on how to select, propagate,<br />

plant, and care for Bonsai plants.<br />
