Zebra Printer Prints Half of Label
ZEBRA PRINTER PRINTS HALF OF LABEL
When do you get this Error?
While attempting to print a label to the Zebra printer, the label prints the left side of the label
correctly but cuts off the rest of the label.:
Why do you get this Error?
This error is caused by an incorrect configuration setting in the print queue. Both the printer’s
Preferences and the printer’s Default settings need to reflect the proper size label that you are
using.
How do you resolve this problem?
Note: The screen shots displayed below are specific to the Zebra LP2844. Your screens might
be slightly different.
1. Right-click on the printer’s queue
and select “Properties”.
Select the “Printing Preferences”
button at the bottom.

2. Be sure the Paper Size reflects the
size of the labels you are using.
In this example, the Paper Size is
set to the Hedberg standard of:
4.00” x 4.00” – (10.16cm x 10.16cm)
Select “OK” to continue.
3. Select the “Advanced” tab and
then select the “Printing Defaults”
button at the bottom.
4. Be sure the Paper Size reflects the
size of the labels you are using.
In this example, the Paper Size is
set to the Hedberg standard of:
4.00” x 4.00” – (10.16cm x 10.16cm)
Select “OK” to continue.
You can close the Printer
Properties box and test the labels
and verify that they are now
printing correctly.
