Underground Systems 

Simply ingenious 

Our GeoTainer ® underground systems can be 

awarded maximum points for an aesthetic appear- 

ance; at the same time they are practical and suit- 

able for daily use. 

Only the throw-in column of the underground container 

is visible. The collecting container itself which 

has a volume of up to 5 m3 is located below ground.

GTR - Why our construction sets

A patented, self-acting safety platform with a load 

capacity of at least 150 kg automatically closes the 

pit when the container has been lifted out. As a 

safety precaution it automatically locks in position.

GTM – Discretely elegant 

What appears discretely elegant on the surface, has 

something to hide! Whereas until now most litter bins 

have been small, the GeoTainer ® Model GTM enables 

larger quantities of litter i.e. 0.6 m³ – 1.0 m³ to be 

collected underground. This means a drastic reduction 

in costs for emptying. The litter collected underground 

is easily emptied. The throw-in column is opened and 

tilted to reveal a large opening for the sweeper which 

then extracts the litter by suction. 

If necessary, the throw-in column can be removed, for 

example if the location is needed for other purposes or 

as safety precaution during public events. In this case 

the opening is covered by a plate.

Semi-Underground Systems 

Twice as nice 

Advantageous characteristics from both the over- 

ground and underground systems are combined in 

our GeoTainer ® semi-underground systems. Here 

the collecting containers are partially submerged i.e. 

partially underground. This enables large volumes

GTE – THE robust design 

Despite the low construction height, the 

GeoTainer ® Model GTE has a high capacity 

and can accommodate 3 - 5 m³ waste 

material such as glass, paper or household 

refuse. This is due to the fact that the galvanized 

collecting container is positioned in a 

submerged concrete outer which protrudes 

only 90 cm out of the ground. In order to 

blend in better with the surrounding area 

various finishes are available, wooden 

planking, metal or washed-out concrete 

and of course the colour of your choice.

GTC – THE compact design 

The low overall height of the GeoTainer ® 

Model GTC is achieved by the fact that the 

ground basin which is only 34 cm deep is 

inserted into the ground. It has a hot-dip 

galvanized finish and an outlet for rainwater. 

In addition it fulfils the important function 

of keeping the container in position so it is 

always flush.

GTC - The Duisburg System 

The Duisburg System is the result of consequent 

development; it is based on the Model GTC and was 

developed to meet specific demands made by housing 

associations. The GTC was re-designed especially 

for large housing complexes and is equipped with two 

deposit hatches on opposite sides of the container 

and has an identification system. This means that only 

residents who have a transponder have access to the 

containers and can unlock the hatches. The transponder 

also registers the exact number of deposits made by 

each user and the amount charged for refuse collection 

correlates to the amount of waste deposited. Electricity 

for the system is provided by an integrated solar panel 

and an accumulator. 

Cylinder locks can be used instead of an identification 

system if there is no need to record individual quantities.

Overground Systems 

Simply universal 

Our overground containers are available in a variety 

of standard constructions and also as individual 

constructions for the most common types of waste 

material. Bottle banks have one, two or three 

chambers, are insulated against noise and conform 

to the directive RL 2000/14/EG. Whether screwed 

or welded together, both constructions are 

designed for longevity – the containers are sturdy 

and the fact that we observe the necessary standards 

for manufacturing enables a long service life.

Used textile containers 

The Used Textile Container Model C 105 can 

accommodate a large volume of textiles and 

is thus ideal as a collection point. The containers 

can be fitted with trap doors for efficient emptying 

by crane. Alternatively, we have a construction 

fitted with a door that opens wide and in this case 

there is a roof flap that opens too. It is possible 

to walk into the container and thanks to this ergonomic 

construction emptying requires a minimum 

of strength and is friendly to one‘s back too! 

Various types of throw-ins are available. The throwin 

hatch can be resting on the outside of the container 

or it can be positioned inwards. Furthermore, 

the container can be equipped with throw-ins on just 

one side or on opposite sides.

Versatile. Varied. Spacious. 

Collecting Boxes for Recycling Materials Model WB 

are the perfect choice when only small quantities of 

material accumulate or when there are restrictions 

on space. The standard boxes have a volume of 800 

or 1100 litres and can be used for glass, paper or 

textiles. The galvanized steel sheeting construction 

is riveted together and can be fitted with a bayshaped 

roof to protect the throw-in area from the elements. 

Instead of supporting feet you can opt for castors, 

making the unit mobile; the 800 litre box can pass 

through a doorway.

garage, in the garden or on the drive. If the bins 

stand in a place that is generally accessible then 

there is a risk of “anyone and everyone” using your 

bin and of course it is also a target for vandals - not

GT – Underground parking 

Wheelie bins should be easily accessible and not seen. Until 

now it has been difficult to avoid this contrariety. However, 

the GeoTainer ® Model GT is based on a convincing approach 

– the wheelie bins can stand exactly where they are 

most needed, but underground. 

The heart of the unit is an electrically driven platform that can 

be raised and lowered at the turn of a key and stopped at any 

height. The lid opens automatically as the platform is raised.

Housing societies, homes for the elderly, hotels, 

restaurants, schools and kindergarten already 

appreciate our GeoTainer ® Model GT-1 and 

GT-1100. Just like the GT-3 and GT-4, the heart 

of the unit is an electrically driven platform that

stopped at any height. This construction is designed 

to accommodate max. one piece 1100 litre wheelie 

bin. The GT-1100 is related to the GT-1 but it is fitted

Bins on wheels and plastic bags are useful but 

unfortunately not suitable for use everywhere. 

Our Model SECOMAT S-D overcomes this shortcoming 

in an elegant manner. These surrounds 

(incidentally a protected design) improve the 

appearance of the location and facilitate safekeeping.

The Model SECOMAT S-K is also a surround for 120 

or 240 litre wheelie bins and characterized by the

of a lid; the lid is supported by gas compression

S 1100 - A safe deposit 

The Model SECOMAT S 1100 is a surround for 

1100 litre wheelie bins and can also be used for 

the German “yellow bin liners” for collecting foil
