New kid on the block
releases gospel album
She is the new kid on the block and
says she is ready to take Phalaborwa up
in the gospel music industry.
"I speak to my God with my singing and
he said we must praise him in different
ways and this is my way of praising him,
for he is the Mighty," said Khomotso
Malatji.
The 29 year old rising artist hails from
Still no answers
Last year, well-known Bob Julyan
died when he and his wife Rhoda
were brutally attacked at their
home during the early hours on a
Sunday morning by three
unknown men. A year later and
still no arrest.
His brother wrote a letter from
England to Phalaborwa /Hoespruit
Herald.
Dear Editor:
What price a life in South Africa!
On August 3rd the dreadful
slaughter of my brother Robert
Julyan, a well-known and
respected business man living in
Phalaborwa, was reported in all
the newspapers. Yet a year later
no-one has been arrested.
Letters to local policeman
titled "Ga go sana Kgotso".
"I dedicated one song called ‘Ditebogo
go mma’ to my mother because she is my
source of inspiration and today I am here
because of her," said Khomotso.
Khomotso is hard at work shooting a
DVD with B3 Studios which is expected
to come out next month. "We are busy
running around like headless chickens
because we want to make this DVD the
finest and give Khomotso's audience a
Detective Mashete and his senior
officers go unanswered. Why is
this, is it due to corruption,
indifference or maybe just
inefficient, poor policing? Is
human life so unimportant in your
township that no-one cares?
What price human rights? Do
families have no right to ask for,
and receive, information?
South Africa is a beautiful country
but the beauty is only skin deep if
murder can be committed and
there is nothing to follow but
silence.
Would you publish this letter,
would it prick the consciences of
those people concerned. We
would not expect so but we can
only survive if we have hope.
quality video with which they can sit
back and enjoy," said producer Blessing
Chavalala.
"I want to thank everyone who has
supported me in buying my music," added
Khomotso.
The CD is sold at R50 and obtainable
from Blessing Chavalala of B3 Studios on
078 287 0567. Alternatively contact
Khomotso on 078 243 0887.
Dankie aan
nooddienste
Mev. Van Buuren skryf:
Ek wil net vir die “Paramedics” van die
dorp dankie sé vir hul Flink diens. My man
het n hartaanval gehad einde Julie.
Ek het hulle geskakel en hulle was daar in
minder as ten minute. Hulle diens was
uitstekend. Op 21 Augustus het my seun
Hulle het vasgestel dit is sy blindederm.
