Proficiency Awards<br />
The agricultural proficiency<br />
award program recognizes<br />
members for their achievements<br />
as they gain skills that<br />
help them set and reach<br />
goals, and provides them<br />
with an outlet to apply these<br />
skills in real-life situations.<br />
<strong>FFA</strong> members are rewarded<br />
at local, state and national<br />
levels for excellence in<br />
their supervised agricultural<br />
experience programs (SAEs).<br />
A student’s SAE serves as<br />
the primary opportunity for<br />
hands-on application of what<br />
is learned in the classroom.<br />
Members can work in the<br />
agricultural industry and<br />
apply for a placement proficiency<br />
award, or they can<br />
start their own business and<br />
apply for an entrepreneurship<br />
proficiency award.<br />
Applications were submitted<br />
from all 52 associations, representing<br />
each of the 50<br />
states, Puerto Rico and the<br />
Virgin Islands.<br />
