StarragHeckert <strong>expands</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Great</strong> Brita<strong>in</strong><br />

StarragHeckert Hold<strong>in</strong>g AG has purchased 100% of the shares <strong>in</strong> the present Traub<br />

Heckert UK Ltd of Brackley, Northamptonshire, UK, which previously represented<br />

StarragHeckert as its market<strong>in</strong>g company <strong>in</strong> the automotive and mechanical<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g segments. The new subsidiary is to be renamed StarragHeckert UK Ltd.<br />

Over the last three years, the company's 30 employees have generated average<br />

annual sales CHF 16 million, ma<strong>in</strong>ly through market<strong>in</strong>g third-party products. The<br />

exist<strong>in</strong>g country organization will be <strong>in</strong>tegrated <strong>in</strong>to the new company. Overall, this<br />

reorganization will greatly strengthen StarragHeckert's presence <strong>in</strong> the key British<br />

market.<br />

At the same time, StarragHeckert is buy<strong>in</strong>g an <strong>in</strong>itial stake of 40% of the equity of<br />

TTL, Broadfields, UK, with options on further share blocks. TTL is a specialist<br />

software developer which leads the market <strong>in</strong> the area of application technology for<br />

turb<strong>in</strong>e blade repairs; among its customers is the locally based Formula 1 <strong>in</strong>dustry.<br />

The area of turb<strong>in</strong>e blade repair systems is one of StarragHeckert's fastest-grow<strong>in</strong>g<br />

secondary market segments. TTL has around 20 highly qualified development<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eers, generat<strong>in</strong>g average annual sales of CHF 4.2 million over the last three<br />

years. Through its stake <strong>in</strong> TTL, StarragHeckert is establish<strong>in</strong>g a significant<br />

technology presence <strong>in</strong> <strong>Great</strong> Brita<strong>in</strong>, <strong>in</strong> l<strong>in</strong>e with the group's strategic orientation.<br />

StarragHeckert is a globally active mach<strong>in</strong>e tool manufacturer, with a hold<strong>in</strong>g<br />

company domiciled <strong>in</strong> Rorschacherberg (Switzerland) and production centres <strong>in</strong><br />

Rorschacherberg and Chemnitz (Saxony, Germany), as well as subsidiaries and<br />

sales offices <strong>in</strong> all major markets. The group manufactures mach<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g centres and<br />

flexible manufactur<strong>in</strong>g systems for the aerospace, power generation, automotive and


other <strong>in</strong>dustries. StarragHeckert offers its customers technology support <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g<br />

software, production techniques, cutt<strong>in</strong>g tools etc. StarragHeckert's shares are listed<br />
