Short bio and list of publications<br />

<strong>Daniel</strong> <strong>Hjorth</strong> is a researcher at ESBRI – Stockholm and Malmö University, Malmö, Swe<strong>de</strong>n. He did<br />

his doctoral studies at Lund University. Later the doctoral dissertation was moved to Växjö<br />

University where it was presented in October 5th 2001. The research interest is focused on the<br />

areas of entrepreneurship and organisational theory. Problems concerning entrepreneurial<br />

processes in various organisational contexts is also driving a concern for inter-disciplinary studies.<br />

The writing is thus characterised by a problematisation of traditional scientific formats for writing;<br />

by an interest in philosophy; and by an interest in play and playfulness in performing research<br />

with a concern for reaching society. Since 1994 <strong>Daniel</strong> has lectured within the areas of<br />

entrepreneurship and supervised bachelor- and master theses within these areas. Also<br />

organisation theory and lea<strong>de</strong>rship theories as well as qualitative methodology are areas where<br />

<strong>Daniel</strong> lectures. <strong>Daniel</strong> also works together with some artists and <strong>de</strong>signers in creating exhibitions<br />

around certain themes. Presently, the writing concerns: issues of writing; entrepreneurship as<br />

social/organisational creativity; entrepreneurship and the problems of managerialism;<br />

entrepreneurship and aesthetics, and entrepreneurship and learning. <strong>Daniel</strong> has been a special<br />

issue editor (International Journal of Internet and Enterprise Management) on Organising<br />

Knowledge, track organiser at EURAM, and is currently editing the Edward Elgar Publ. mini series<br />

(four books) named Movements in Entrepreneurship (together with Chris Steyaert).<br />
