LICO 400: The science of
objective colour measurement.
Away with subjective visual assessments – LICO
measures transparent liquids accurately, objectively,
and reproducibly. Its validated measurement method
is the basis for internationally comparable measured
values. The decisive arguments in favour of LICO

Surfactants, resins, waxes, solvents, and pharmaceuticals
– whether water-white, yellowish or any
colour at all – LICO measures them all objectively
with the help of its 24 integrated colour scales: e. g.
➔ extended Hazen (Pt-Co), Gardner and Iodine
scales
➔ specific scales such as Saybolt, ASTM D 1500
➔ in conformity with the European Pharmacopoeia
or USP with autoselect or defined scale

EFFECTIVE COLOUR MANAGEMENT
Certified test aids enable users to check the total
measuring system independently in conformity with
GLP and ISO 9000 requirements. The LICO system
offers the alternatives:
➔ ADDISTA COLOR, consisting of 6 standard
colour solutions (3 for Hazen and 3 for Gardner).
Measurement in high-precision LANGE disposable
cuvettes (11 and 50 mm path length and
only 2 – 5 ml sample volume) makes reliability
very simple.
➔ Precision glass filter set for classical colorimetric
checks
