Class descriptions<br />

Aerobics This class involves simple moves performed to high-energy<br />

music. An instructor will lead the class through a sequence designed to<br />

work all of the different muscle groups. Great for shedding the flab.<br />

BODYATTACK This high-energy interval training class combines<br />

athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation <strong>exercise</strong>s.<br />

Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards<br />

their fitness goals.<br />

BODYCOMBAT A cardiovascular interval training <strong>programme</strong> that<br />

combines high intensity boxing, strength and stabilisation <strong>exercise</strong>s.<br />

BODYPUMP A class using barbells and adjustable weights to tone<br />

and condition muscles while raising metabolic rate for rapid fat burning.<br />

BODYSTEP An energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated<br />

and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on,<br />

over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long<br />

music and approachable instructors.<br />

Boot camp An intense way to work out, a bootcamp combines cardio<br />

<strong>exercise</strong>s with resistance training to improve stamina, tone muscles and<br />

aid weight loss. Time to start practising those press-ups!<br />

Circuits A station based class designed to burn fat and tone muscles<br />

using various equipment. Suitable for all levels.<br />

CXWORX A short, sharp workout that’ll inspire you to the next level<br />

of fitness, while strengthening and toning your body.Combines the best<br />

of personal training with the energy of a group fitness class.<br />

Fat burners A full body workout to burn fat and improve the overall<br />

appearance of your body.<br />

GRIT A unique team training programs that will push you to your max<br />

and beyond. With your coach right down on the floor with you, motivating<br />

you and the team, you won’t believe how hard you can work out.<br />

Hatha yoga Open classes for all levels, hatha yoga balances a series<br />

of postures with periods of stillness and relaxation. The breath together<br />

with awareness of the body are emphasised, creating deep release which<br />

cultivates flexibility, strength and relaxation.<br />

Indoor cycle An intensive aerobic workout on <strong>exercise</strong> bikes, focusing<br />

on the heart and lungs. A great way to develop lower body tone and burn<br />

plenty of calories.<br />

Kettlebells The kettlebell is a cast iron weight (resembling a cannonball<br />

with a handle) used to perform <strong>exercise</strong>s that combine cardiovascular,<br />

strength and flexibility training.<br />

Legs, bums and tums (LBT) An aerobics focused class designed to tone<br />

the lower body. A mix of high/low impact moves combined with floor work<br />

for muscle toning.<br />

Line dancing Get Western, make friends and improve your fitness. With a<br />

strong music vibe running through this class, you will learn choreography<br />

and get fit as you do. Cowboy hat optional!<br />

Pilates Developed to offer a conditioning and toning technique that<br />

targets the deep muscles supporting the spine and major joints.<br />

RPM An indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of<br />

powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who<br />

leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval<br />

training.<br />

Running club This session will centre on learning running techniques with<br />

the goal of running 5km within 12 weeks.<br />

SH’BAM Featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves, SH’BAM<br />

is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star - even if you’re<br />

dance challenged.<br />

Swiss ball A fun effective low impact balancing and conditioning class<br />

using a swiss ball that helps develop your core fitness.<br />

Tai chi Known as the moving meditation, Tai chi combines a series of<br />

slow controlled movements, developing strength, balance posture and<br />

calm.<br />

Tri class If you are looking for a class that ticks all the boxes, then<br />

this is the class to do. 20 minutes of aerobics, 20 minutes of body<br />

conditioning and 20 minutes of step aerobics. The sections together<br />

provide a great cardio and toning workout.<br />

Yoga Involving a series of postures, yoga is associated with meditative<br />

practices and can help you become more aware of your body’s<br />

posture, alignment and patterns of movement. It makes the body more<br />

flexible and helps you relax.<br />

Wake up lively A fun and energetic fat burning cardio workout to<br />

strengthen and tone the whole body. The class aims to increase your<br />

heart rate and improve lung capacity.<br />

Zumba® A latin inspired dance fitness class, suitable for all levels.<br />

Come and workout to the sounds of pulsating latin rhythms with easy<br />

to follow dance moves.<br />

ZUMBA® GOLD A lighter side of Zumba but with the same Latin<br />

flavour and fabulous music! This class is excellent for those who<br />

want a fun, light workout with easy-to follow choreography. We add<br />

a longer warm up and cool down to improve balance, flexibility and<br />

cardiovascular strength.<br />
