Children under eight<br />
Children under five must be<br />
supervised in the water on a 1:1<br />
basis and children ages five to<br />
seven on a 1:2 basis.<br />
Aqua aerobics<br />
Sessions are taught by a<br />
qualified instructor. See fitness<br />
leaflets for further details. Please<br />
note there are limited swimming<br />
places. It is recommended that<br />
you book in advance for these<br />
sessions.<br />
General swim<br />
Everyone is welcome during<br />
this session. Swimming pool<br />
admission policy applies. During<br />
swimming lessons and other<br />
advertised pool sessions use of<br />
the shallow end of the pool may<br />
be limited.<br />
Lane swim / Adult lane swim<br />
The pool is split into lanes with<br />
each lane catering for different<br />
swimming abilities and for those<br />
wanting to swim for leisure<br />
or fitness. Adult lane swim is<br />
for adults over the age of 16<br />
and lane swim is for all ages,<br />
swimming lengths or laps only.<br />
<strong>Pool</strong> parties<br />
Celebrate your child’s birthday<br />
with friends by having a pool<br />
party. Contact the centre for<br />
further details on private hire.<br />
<strong>Pool</strong> admission policy applies.<br />
Silver<br />
The silver programme is<br />
especially designed for those<br />
who are over 60 years old.<br />
Membership costs £1.00 per<br />
year and there are a variety of<br />
sessions across your leisure<br />
centres which cost £1.00 per<br />
person per session. These<br />
sessions include, silver gym,<br />
silver bowls and badminton,<br />
silver aqua aerobics and silver<br />
swim. If you are under the<br />
age of 60, you can attend<br />
these sessions. Please ask at<br />
reception for more information.<br />
Single gender sessions<br />
Where possible we always try to<br />
rota the respective male or female<br />
member of staff to compliment the<br />
single gender sessions.<br />
Splash and floats<br />
A fun packed session for children<br />
of a minimum age of eight, with<br />
rafts and floats in the pool. Half<br />
of the pool is available for width<br />
swimming.<br />
Swim school<br />
<strong>Fusion</strong> provides swimming lessons<br />
with fully qualified ASA instructors<br />
for adults and children of all ages<br />
and abilities. For more information<br />
please pick up a swim school<br />
prospectus or ask at reception for<br />
more details.<br />
Swimfit<br />
Swimfit is a gym style<br />
programme within the pool.<br />
With four themed levels of<br />
ability, you will advance with<br />
pool side information and<br />
instructors (selected classes<br />
only) and record your progress<br />
online at www.swimfit.com<br />

Welcome to the pool programme for <strong>Seven</strong> <strong>Islands</strong> Leisure Centre. We aim<br />
to provide an affordable and diverse range of quality leisure facilities and<br />
activities for all. We strive to make each visit an enjoyable one so please do let<br />

<strong>Pool</strong> admission policy<br />
Under eights<br />
An adult of 16 years or over, who<br />
is also a competent swimmer must<br />
accompany children under the age<br />
of eight. Please contact the centre<br />
for further information on the ratio for<br />
adult supervision of under eights.<br />
Just in time<br />
The last ticket for entry into the pool<br />
is 30 minutes prior to closing. Last<br />
entry to the gym is one hour prior<br />
to closing.<br />

Dress code<br />
Only swimmers wearing costumes /<br />
trunks may enter the pool. Cut down<br />
shorts, jeans, shorts worn below the<br />
knee or T-shirts must not be worn in<br />
the water.<br />
