STUDENTS HONORED AT 2011 ACADEMIC AWARD CEREMONIES<br />
This past spring, many Friends’ <strong>Central</strong> students were<br />
honored with an array of academic awards. Pictured here<br />
are 17 members of the Class of 2011 who were inducted<br />
into the Cum Laude Society. The Cum Laude Society<br />
“recognizes academic achievement in secondary schools for<br />
the purpose of promoting excellence (Areté), justice (Diké)<br />
and honor (Timé).”<br />

TRUSTEE EMERITUS HONORED<br />
Friends’ <strong>Central</strong> is pleased to<br />
announce that three new members<br />
have joined its Board of Trustees<br />
for the 2011-2012 school year.<br />
Carolyn Cohen is a textile artist<br />
who has exhibited her work<br />
nationally. She and her husband,<br />
Scot, have two children at FCS,<br />
Ally ’18 and Max ’19. Kent Julye<br />
is the principal of Twin Anvil<br />
Consultants, which specializes<br />
in the restaurant and hospitality<br />
Goodman, Jane Gordon, and Ariel Parker; and (back<br />
row, from left) Benjamin Yahalomi, Mitchell Johnston,<br />
Louis Lesser, Daniel Kurnick, Kathleen Carpenter,<br />
Deborah Lee, Kossi Anyinefa, Alexandra Forrest, and<br />
