Overview: A study of principal pre-service and in-service professional development programs. The study was<br />
funded by the Wallace Foundation and looked at the qualities of effective training programs, the current financial<br />
structure of professional development and institutional, organizational, and financial enablers of effective programs.<br />
Role: Analyzed survey data and collaborated with Terry Orr (Bank Street College) on writing a paper about how<br />
leadership preparation affects school outcomes.<br />
Research Program: “Carnegie Beginner Teacher Effectiveness Study”, (September 2007-present)<br />
Overview: A study looking into the relationship between measures of pre-service preparation quality, individual<br />
teacher quality, teaching practices, and student achievement gains for early career teachers<br />
