<strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> <strong>Ges</strong>.m.b.H. <strong>in</strong> <strong>Gumpoldskirchen</strong> (<strong>Austria</strong>) has now, after conclusion<br />
of all formalities, officially taken over retroactively as of January 1, 2010 the 50%<br />
share of W. Bühler Vermögensverwaltung GmbH <strong>in</strong> <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Deutschland<br />
GmbH, and is now the sole shareholder.<br />
The company, founded <strong>in</strong> 1977 by Walter Bühler, started a Jo<strong>in</strong>t Venture with <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong><br />
<strong>Ges</strong>.m.b.H. <strong>in</strong> 1989 under the company name Bühler GmbH. At the same time the production<br />
of additives and pa<strong>in</strong>t masterbatches began at the Weitnau location <strong>in</strong> Oberallgäu.<br />
In September 2003, after the <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Group had become <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>gly large and one<br />
wanted to show the affiliation with the corporate group, the company name Bühler GmbH was<br />
changed to <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Deutschland GmbH.<br />
Today, <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Deutschland GmbH employs more than 80 staff members, the<br />
production capacity is 2,500 tons p.a. and a turnover of approx. 13 million euros was achieved<br />
dur<strong>in</strong>g the last bus<strong>in</strong>ess year. This makes the German branch the second largest production<br />
facility of the <strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Group.<br />

Furthermore, the Weitnau location accommodates Competence Centres for laser mark<strong>in</strong>g and<br />
effect colours. The annual Innovation Workshops, which ma<strong>in</strong>ly deal with effect colours, colour<br />
trends and surface design enjoy equal popularity amongst customers, designers and producers<br />
of proprietary brand.<br />
<strong>Gabriel</strong>-<strong>Chemie</strong> Deutschland GmbH not only operates <strong>in</strong> the German plastics <strong>in</strong>dustry with<br />
additive, colour and comb<strong>in</strong>ation masterbatches, but also partly border<strong>in</strong>g countries such as<br />
Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.<br />
