At the June 22 meeting, Dr. David<br />

E. Winkel of the University of Wyom-<br />

ing drew a full house. He spoke<br />

primarily about computer processor<br />

development and bit-slice design. He<br />

also introduced a bit-slice development<br />

system which he developed. There was<br />

a short discussion about an HP-75<br />

Forth which one member is developing.<br />

Wil Baden went through the fun-<br />

damentals of conditionals at the July 6<br />

meeting. Near the end of the meeting,<br />

Wil introduced non-compiling condi-<br />

tionals which allow one to occasionally<br />

compile. Also, Greg Stevenson devel-<br />

oped a compiling buffer approach for<br />

conditionals. Bob Waters<br />

demonstrated Forth on a Timex-<br />

Sinclair, as advertised in Forth Dimen-<br />

sions. The Forth was direct compiling,<br />

multi-tasking, and had windowing<br />

capability.<br />

On July 27, Wil Baden presented the<br />

ONLY ALSO vocabulary concepts of Wil-<br />

liam F. Ragsdale. Many were already<br />

using the concept and were pleased<br />

with its performance. Wil added some<br />
