SELECTED SHORT-TERM INITIATIVES (2014 - 2020) By 2020, BLUE GOLD will promote the implementation of 15 water initiatives to increase supply, optimize demand, improve quality and improve the institutional and managerial setup of the Lebanese water sector. Diagram M gives an overview of the proposed BLUE GOLD supply and demand side projects. The 15 selected initiatives were categorized according to four specific objectives: increase water supply, optimize water demand, ensure upto-standard water quality, and improve water management efficiency.
