We have found records confirming that John Staley Jr. is the father of Samuel R. Staley, who is the father of
Donald N. Staley. We also have records confirming that Donald N. Staley and his second wife Rosa were cousins.
Rosa is the daughter of
William W. Staley; therefore, William W. and Samuel were probably brothers or half brothers. We assume that
John Staley Jr. is the father of both of them. We know that Margaret Barbara Funchess is the mother of Samuel;
we do not know if she
is also William W. Staley's mother.
