RESOLUTION NO. 1626C<br />
A RESOLUTION<br />
REPLACING RESOLUTION 1626A AND 1626B<br />
AMENDING THE ROAD NAMING<br />
AND SITE ADDRESSING SYSTEM<br />
OF FLATHEAD COUNTY, MONTANA<br />
WHEREAS, the Board of <strong>County</strong> Commissioners of <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong>, <strong>Montana</strong>,<br />
adopted <strong>Resolution</strong> No. 1626 on the 23rd day of June, 2003, and amended that<br />
<strong>Resolution</strong> by adopting <strong>Resolution</strong> 1626A on the 27lh day of September, 2007, and<br />
amended <strong>Resolution</strong> 1626A, Sections 2.05.A.4. and 2.05.A.8. by adopting <strong>Resolution</strong><br />
1626B on the 2nd day of February, 2010; and now deems it necessary to amend<br />
<strong>Resolution</strong> 1626B, Sections 1.04, 2.07.B, 2.07.E.1.a, 2.07.E.1.d, 2.07.F.1, and 6.01 by<br />
adopting <strong>Resolution</strong> 1626C; and<br />
WHEREAS, the <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong> Geographic Information Systems (GIS)<br />
Department is the <strong>County</strong> Office authorized to assign and change road names and<br />
addresses as part of administering roads within <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong>; and<br />
WHEREAS, <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong> has determined that it is in the best interest of the<br />
citizens of <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong> to adopt address regulations in order to ensure that road<br />
names and addresses are unique and consistent and that signage for road names and<br />
addresses are uniform and visible;<br />
WHEREAS, the purpose of this <strong>Resolution</strong> is to enhance easy and rapid location<br />
of structures by law enforcement, fire protection services, search and rescue, and<br />
emergency medical services to protect public health and safety of all persons living,<br />
working or visiting in <strong>Flathead</strong> <strong>County</strong>;
