Save the Running-Configuration<br />

The running-configuration contains the current system configuration. Dell Force<strong>10</strong> recommends copying<br />

your running-configuration to the startup-configuration. The system uses the startup-configuration during<br />

boot-up to configure the system. The startup-configuration is stored in the internal flash on the <strong>IO</strong>M by<br />

default, but you can save the startup-configuration to a USB flash device or on a remote server.<br />

To save the running-configuration:<br />

write memory CONFIGURAT<strong>IO</strong>N<br />

Note: The following commands are the same format as those in Copy Files to and from the System on<br />

page 31 but use the filenames startup-config and running-config. These commands assume that current<br />

directory is the internal flash, which is the system default.<br />
