Fosse Fireworks on Saturday 6 th November 2010
We are delighted to announce that the annual Fosse Fireworks event will take place
on Saturday 6 th November 2010. Fliers have been ‘parentmailed’ earlier this week
and numbers need to be collected so please return
booking slips promptly to the Fosse Association
Box by Monday 1 st November 2010.
There is also a link to the flier on our website.
This is a wonderful opportunity to socialise
but tickets are limited so do not delay in
securing your entry!
Harvest Assembly
Last Thursday, 7 th October 2010, we celebrated
Harvest at Fosse Bank with an Assembly. Mrs
Carpenter led the celebration with wonderful
poems beautifully delivered by children in every
year group. We would like to thank the school
community for their generous donations which
have been gratefully accepted by the Bridge
Trust and will be shared out amongst the local
community.
Creche for Class Assemblies
After Half Term, we will be offering a creche
facility during Class Assemblies. Younger
siblings may be left in the care of Mrs Gerrish in
the Year 1 classroom between 9.00am and
9.30am.
Term Dates 2011 – 12
In order to keep our term dates in line with Kent
County Council schools, dates for the next
academic year are awaiting confirmation from
KCC and will be published as soon as possible.
It is likely that proposed dates will change for
the Summer 2012 Half Term week.
More New Pupils at Fosse Bank School!
Welcome to Taliza and Myla Mazoue who
started in Years 5 and Reception respectively
this week. We are very pleased to see that they
are happy and settling in well!

School Uniform Standards
Blazers, hats or caps, and school shoes must be
worn when children arrive at school. We are
very proud of our school uniform and are aware
of the expense in purchasing it; it is therefore
important that it is worn. If you are taking part
in any activity which means you may leave
school in kit other than your uniform, please
make sure you take home all of your uniform,
including shoes, for the next school day.
Lost Property
The following items are still missing despite
searches in school:
Liliana Pavier’s (Year 5) jumper
Seth Zuberi’s (Year 3) cap
Billy Morgans’ (Pre-school) swimming trunks
Please help us reunite them with their owners.
Parking
There has been an increase in the number of
parents parking in the designated turning circle
at the front of the school building. Please always
use the car parks when collecting your children.
Parking in the turning circle is dangerous and an
unnecessary risk to the children.
Half Term Tennis Courses
Our Tennis Coach, Matt Doran, is running
Tennis courses over Half Term and a flier and
booking form have been ‘parentmailed’ today.

Fosse Bank is a healthy school and
the children are expected to bring a
piece of fruit or vegetable only and
water for morning Break. To
support the school in its aim to be
healthy, please only provide
children who require an afterschool
snack with either a piece of
fruit or vegetable, or a plain
savoury item such as a small
sandwich, breadsticks or rice cakes.
Chocolate snacks are not permitted.
