Succession-The Court of Henry VIII — Sat 5 pm<br />
A deck building game in which Influence is the core value.<br />
Influence is Victory Points. Influence buys the player additional<br />
Common Stack cards and Influence is used to aggressively<br />
interact with other players. When King Henry VIII dies, the<br />
player who scored the most Influence has their Heir crowned the<br />
new monarch and wins the game.<br />

Takenoko — Sun 2 pm<br />
Come meet and play with designer, Antoine Bauza, our Guest<br />
of Honor. Players are entrusted by the emperor to cultivate<br />
bamboo gardens so they can feed giant pandas! Please bring a<br />
copy to be signed!<br />
Talisman — Sun 1 pm<br />
Fourth edition or fourth edition revised. The Prophetess<br />
reduction in powers may be used. For the final round the<br />
Highland Expansion and possibly Dragon Expansion as well as<br />
Blood Moon may be used (agreement at the table). Bring your<br />
own games for sure we cannot furnish library games every time.<br />
A brief introduction prior to the game may be held.<br />

Red Cliffs is a strategic card game that builds on the classic<br />
game Mahjong and Wu’s earlier Z-Man title Tien Zi Que.<br />
The Castles of Burgundy — Sat 11 pm<br />
Players are in charge of developing their own princedom in<br />
Burgundy. Dice control a player’s action, but there are multiple<br />
options for each face of the die leading to multiple victory<br />
paths.<br />

Get ready for Game Show OVERLOAD! Your favorite<br />
<strong>Strategicon</strong> Game Show Impresarios present their marquee<br />
event for <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, “THE GAME SHOW MACHINE”. 40<br />
game show rounds are lovingly stuffed inside for two teams of 5<br />
players. Can your team best the Machine and go on to win the<br />
Ultimate Bonus Round?<br />
The Joker’s Wild — Sun 5 pm<br />
It’s the game where Knowledge is King, and Lady Luck is<br />
Queen! Revisit the classic game show, “The Joker’s Wild”,<br />
with Ineligible Productions. Spin the reels and hope for some<br />
JOKERS, but stay clear of that nasty DEVIL!<br />
The Resistance: Avalon DEMO — Fri 5 pm, Sat 2 pm, Mon 10 am<br />
Try the pre-release of The Resistance: Avalon. This awesome<br />
game is similar to Werewolf and other games where learning<br />
the secret identities of other fellow players is key. This version<br />
is set in King Arthur’s time and promises to be better than<br />
the excellent original. <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>2012</strong> brings this pre-release<br />
exclusively to you from Indie Boards and Cards, whose<br />
Kickstarter for the game is running now.<br />
The War Game Boot Camp — Fri 4 pm, Sat, Sun 10 am<br />
Allows people with the to try a war game. We have the games,<br />
and give raffle tickets for prizes for those that play. So whether<br />
you are a experienced War Gamer or never tried one, stop<br />
by our information table and talk to Amara about how to<br />
get stated. The War Game Boot Camp is offering something<br />
different on Sundays, we are calling it Grognard Sunday. We<br />
will have bigger war games set out, beginners are welcome. We<br />
will also still demo other games.<br />

The Wind In Their Sails PLAYTEST — Sun 5 pm<br />
Feel the wind in your face as the ship’s sails billow full pushing<br />
the ship forward. “Sail off the starboard… she be pirates!” The<br />
deck comes alive as canons are rolled out into firing positions.<br />
The player attempts to score the most points through naval<br />
encounters and by trading goods as well as, transporting the<br />
governor from island to island.<br />
Thunderstone Advanced — Fri 3 pm<br />
Multiple games of Thunderstone Advanced using all of the<br />
currently released cards.<br />
Thunderstone Advanced - Gaming 101 — Fri 1 pm<br />
Thurn and Taxis — Sat 6 pm<br />
Board game developing postal routes in early Germany.<br />
Tichu — Sat 9 pm<br />
A partnership game. Players may choose their partners before<br />
the event. Unmatched players can still play and will get a<br />
random partner. Matched partnerships will play matched<br />
partnerships when possible. Because of the probable number of<br />
rounds, please be prepared to play both nights. Please indicate<br />
if you are a new player on the sign-up sheet.<br />
Tichu Finals — Sun 9 pm<br />
This is the final round of the Tichu tournament that started on<br />
Saturday evening. Players will be the winners from the early<br />
round.<br />
Ticket to Ride — Fri, Sun 9 pm<br />
Can be learned in 3 minutes, while providing players with<br />
intense strategic and tactical decisions every turn. Players<br />
collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to<br />
claim railway routes. Additional points come to those who fulfill<br />
Destination Tickets, goal cards that connect distant cities and to<br />
the player who builds the longest continuous route.<br />
Ticket to Ride - Legendary Asia — Sat Noon<br />
The main change in this set-up is that some of the routes through<br />
Asia are labeled mountain routes, with one or more spaces on<br />
the route bearing an X. Whenever a player claims one of these<br />
routes, she must place a train from her reserve in the Mountain<br />
Crossing area of the game board, earning two points for each<br />
such train but losing access to them for the rest of the game. The<br />
player who connects to the most cities in a single network earns<br />
a ten point “Asian Explorer” bonus.<br />
Ticket to Ride - Team Asia — Sat 5 pm<br />
Four or six players compete as two-player teams, with<br />
teammates sitting next to one another at the table. Each player<br />
has her own secret hand of cards and tickets, in addition to<br />
some cards and tickets being placed in a shared cardholder<br />
that either player on the team can access. The turn order will be<br />
modified to: Team 1, player 1 Team 2, player 1 Team 3, player<br />
1 Team 1, player 2 Team 2, player 2 Team 3, player 2.<br />
Ticket to Ride: Europe — Sat 9 pm<br />
Takes you on a new train adventure across Europe. More<br />
than just a new map, Ticket to Ride: Europe features brand<br />
new gameplay elements including Tunnels, Ferries, and Train<br />
Stations. The game also includes larger format cards and Train<br />
Station game pieces.<br />
Ticket to Ride: USA 1910 — Sat 6 pm<br />
The 1910 expansion to Ticket to Ride will be used.<br />
Titan — Sat 11 am<br />
Titan Tournament - when more than 6 players, first round will be<br />
4 hours to choose 6 players for the final. Final will be run after<br />
a short break for finalists, and goes until only 1 Titan survives.<br />
