The <strong>Baiersbronn</strong> area offers a wide range of activities for children. The Murgel’s Spielhaus is the <strong>Baiersbronn</strong><br />

kindergarten for the visitors of the region, offering games and entertainment for families with children.<br />

The Murgel magazine contains the children‘s events programme and lists events for the whole year. In addition<br />

to this you can also find lots of great tips and excursion options. Kids’ carts, children rucksack-carriers and<br />

mountain buggies can all be hired at <strong>Baiersbronn</strong> tourist office.<br />

In addition to this, certain restaurants also offer ‘family friendly tables’, where 2 adults and 2 children get a<br />

<strong>Baiersbronn</strong> has four outdoor swimming pools, located in the districts of <strong>Baiersbronn</strong>, Klosterreichenbach,<br />

Schönmünzach and Obertal. The first outdoors ‘nature experience’ swimming pool in the municipality of<br />

<strong>Baiersbronn</strong> is due to open in Mitteltal in 2009. In Freudenstadt there is also the Panoramabad, an indoor family<br />

fun swimming pool. Almost all of the hotels in <strong>Baiersbronn</strong> have their own indoor pools, with some offering<br />

excellent wellness facilities. Due to its excellent air quality, Obertal has been awarded the status of a Premium<br />

Class therapeutic climate health resort. Schönmünzach-Schwarzenberg is an officially recognised kneipp health<br />

resort.<br />

Hiking<br />

The <strong>Baiersbronn</strong> area offers excellent hiking and walking possibilities - which is why it is also called the<br />

‘Wanderhimmel’, or hiking heaven. A walk is often ideally combined with a stop off at one of the region’s<br />

mountain restaurant huts. A suggested walk incorporating a stop off at the Satteleihütte in <strong>Baiersbronn</strong>:<br />
