More than cooling technology
Grass screw compressors are well-suited for numerous cooling
and air conditioning technology applications. The Grasso SH,
Grasso MC and Grasso LT series are designed in work with a
maximum design pressure of up to 28 bar in standard situation.
All compressors are also available in high-pressure models of
up to 52 bar (some models can be increased to 63 bar upon request).
They are particularly well-suited for extremely low temperatures,
CO 2 hot gas defrosting in cascade systems and for
heat pump operations. The Grasso AC series was also developed
with a maximum design pressure of 130 bar, meaning it can be
used in transcritical CO 2 heat pumps.
Advantages at a glance
° Stepless capacity control
° Variable internal volume ratio (Vi) for an efficient full and part
load operation
° Pressure ratings: 28 bar, 52 bar, 130 bar (63 upon request)
° Particular design for high pressure compressors:
Housing material (e.g. nodular cast iron), stronger thrust
bearing (TRIAX design), high perfomance shaft seal, stronger
driving shaft end, etc.
° Anti gas pulsation system for safe part load operation and
high pressure ratios
° Explosion proof design upon request
° Patented rotor profile, designed for efficient operation
and smooth running
° Hydraulic axial force compensation and high performance
bearings for a long product lifetime
° Hermetic position indicating for capacity and Vi-control
