GNTC’s <strong>Adult</strong> <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Announces</strong> <strong>Winter</strong> <strong>Quarter</strong> Enrollment<br />

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is pleased to announce openings for new<br />

students in the <strong>Adult</strong> <strong>Education</strong> program for winter quarter. <strong>Adult</strong>s who need instruction<br />

in basic academic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics or preparation for the<br />

General <strong>Education</strong>al Development Test ® for a high school equivalency diploma are<br />

invited to register for the upcoming quarter. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes<br />

are also available. There are adult learning centers in Calhoun, Cedartown, LaFayette,<br />

Ringgold, Rockmart, Rock Spring, Rome, Rossville, Summerville, and Trenton. Morning,<br />

afternoon, and evening classes are available. New students will participate in an<br />

orientation/assessment session to learn about program requirements and determine a<br />

program of study which meets their individual needs. Students must be 18 years of age<br />

and officially withdrawn from school. Those who are 16 or 17 years old should ask<br />

about requirements for Underage Youth.<br />
