How to Use a Vocabulary? 


Let’s look up some words! 

vicious - describes people or actions that show an 

intention or wish to hurt someone or someone very 

badly (a vicious dog) 

savage - extremely violent, wild or frightening 

thistle - a wild plant with sharp points on the leaves 

and purpel flowers 

shoot - the first part of a plant to appear above the 

ground as it develops from a seed, or any new 

growth on an already existing plant
