religious groups
Various religious groups on campus provide instruction to those interested in special areas of
Christian service:
1. Alpha Chi Malachi
Alpha Chi Malachi is for all Bible majors. Meetings promote fellowship and stress practical
aspects of congregational ministry.
2. All Mission Fellowship
Prepares students for mission activities.
3. Student Association Spiritual Life Committee
The president of the Student Association nominates a student chairman to the Spiritual Life
Committee. This individual’s name is then submitted to the Student Association’s executive
council and the Student Association adviser for approval. This committee focuses on meeting
students’ spiritual needs on a personal level.
4. Society of Near Eastern Archeology
For all students interested in the history and archeology of the ancient biblical world.
5. Other Campaigns
From time to time other campaigns may be planned by individuals.
campus life
The Office of Campus Life, located behind Taco Bell in the Student Center, exists to enhance student
relationships through a variety of activities and orientation programs including Summer
Stampede and Student Impact. Campus Life works closely with the Office of First Year Experience to
assist incoming students by assessing their needs and providing tools for academic success. Two summer
co-directors work with the director of campus life to create and plan the orientation programs.
Campus Life is also home to the Campus Activities Board (CAB), an organization involving students
appointed by the director of campus life. Members of CAB are responsible for developing and
coordinating events on campus throughout the year. Stipend positions available include two co-directors
and one marketing director.
student association
The Student Association represents the student body to the administration and provides outlets for
students to be involved in meaningful activities that support the mission of the university.
The SA Executive Council is made up of four elected officers – president, vice president, secretary
and treasurer – and a male and female representative for each class. The executive committee, except
the freshman class representatives, is elected in the spring semester for the following year. Dorm representatives
and freshman class representatives are elected in the fall semester of the year they serve.
The SA also supports no more than 12 standing committees whose chairmen and members are
nominated by the SA president and approved by vote of the Executive Council, the SA sponsors and
the administration.
