<strong>CE</strong>-<strong>marking</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>woodburning</strong> <strong>Harvia</strong> <strong>sauna</strong> <strong>stoves</strong><br />
1.7.2012 <strong>CE</strong> <strong>marking</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>woodburning</strong> <strong>sauna</strong> <strong>stoves</strong> became compulsory on the European<br />
economic area, excluding Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Ireland and Norway.<br />
1.7.2013 <strong>CE</strong> <strong>marking</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>woodburning</strong> <strong>sauna</strong> <strong>stoves</strong> will become compulsory in all countries on<br />
the European economy area.<br />
After these dates it is not allowed to bring products without <strong>CE</strong> <strong>marking</strong> to the market – the actual<br />
schedule and transition time may vary from region to region. Products that are in resellers’<br />
warehouses are considered to be on the market, they can be sold and installed normally. <strong>CE</strong><br />
<strong>marking</strong> will not be required retrospectively.<br />
Currently, the following <strong>Harvia</strong> <strong>sauna</strong> <strong>stoves</strong> have the <strong>CE</strong> <strong>marking</strong>:<br />

Changes in products<br />
The protective distances and <strong>sauna</strong> size recommendations have changed. The instructions have<br />
now more product-specific information.<br />
All <strong>CE</strong> marked <strong>stoves</strong> have the upper connection opening flange extended to 25 mm. The<br />
connection opening plug has been updated respectively, and is now easier to install on the rear<br />
connection opening.<br />
The body <strong>of</strong> <strong>Harvia</strong> M1/M2/M3 has been redesigned. The stone space now heats more efficiently<br />
and evenly, air circulation in the stone space has improved and excess water can exit through an<br />
opening in the back.<br />
<strong>BImSchV</strong> <strong>marking</strong> (Germany)<br />
In addition to <strong>CE</strong> requirements, Germany has national requirements (<strong>BImSchV</strong>). To meet the<br />
<strong>BImSchV</strong> criteria, the <strong>stoves</strong> must be equipped with a “<strong>BImSchV</strong> set”, which includes<br />
two steel plates for controlling combustion air<br />
