LNB output can be used if more than one receiver is connected,
and using the same polarity and band (high/low).
This should only be used with small installations.
LNB input 950 - 2050 MHz.
Audio L/R output + Mono output.
Video output.
Two fans make sure that the receiver does not overheat.
Plug and switch to turn off the 100-240V supply.

Connection to PC, if the receiver needs to be updated.
CAM reader for Common Interface modules. Place the
module with the serial number downwards.
Card reader Card reader for Conax program card. Place the card with the
yellow IC downards.

The six buttoned keyboard is used to navigate in the menu.
Navigation:

Activate the menu or open the sub menu.

3.1 Satellite Input
The SMATV 212S can receive all signals transmitted as DVB-S from 950 - 2050 MHz.

5.1.2. 1-2-LNB Type
Use this function to choose an LNB type:
Choose between: Universal - 9.75 GHz - 10.00 GHz - 10.05 GHz - 10.60 GHz -
or press ENTER and type in a value.
5.1.3. 1-3-LNB Power

5.2 2-Tuner
In the TUNER menu you can adjust the frequency on the transponder you wish to
receive.

Press ENTER to open the menu for FREQUENCY adjustment.
Increase the value by 1.
Decrease the value by 1.
Moves the cursor BACKWARDS.
Moves the cursor FORWARDS.
Then press ENTER.

Choose between horizontal (H) and vertical (V) polarity.

You can choose between the following symbol rates: 22000, 22500, 24500,
26000, 27500, 27800, and 28000. If you need another specific symbol rate, press
ENTER and type in the value.
5.3 3-Channels
When you press ENTER, the receiver will start searching for the programmes,
which match the values you have programmed into the receiver. When the search
is over, you have the following options:
5.3.1 3-1-Select channel

With or you can choose the channels you want to receive, press ENTER or
BACK to accept the channel.
5.3.2 3-2-Program ID

If the receiver can not search the channel, you have the possibility to type in the
Program ID, and search the channel this way.
The following values need to be typed in:
Program ID - VPID - APID - PCR PID

The value should only be typed in, if the receiver does not find the channel during the
normal channel search.

The PID-information is available by the program distributor.

Letterbox
You can choose between Letterbox and No Conversion.
In Letterbox mode, the receiver will convert the 16:9 picture to a 4:3 picture.
With this conversion, the receiver will send a WSS signal so that a 16:9 TV will
show a 16:9 format picture.
In No Conversion mode, the receiver will not change the picture format.

NB! The receiver will as default show DVB subtitles, if both DVB subtitles and Tele
Text subtitles are sent.

This menu is used to reset the receiver to the factory defaults.

If you choose YES and then ENTER the receiver will reset within a short while.
NB! This will reset all settings.
5.8 8-Fan Control

Choose when the two fans must start to cool the receiver (35ºC is recommended).
Choose between the defined values (35, 40, 45, 50, 55, or 60) or press ENTER to
type a value in.
5.9 9-Smartcard Update
If the programme card is not updated, you can turn the watchdog function off.
When the card is updated the receiver will turn the watchdog function on again.

5.10 10-Smartcard
Press ENTER to see the card information. This information will be displayed along
with the video signal on the screen.
5.11 11-Common Interface
Press ENTER to see the Common Interface information. This information will be
displayed along with the video signal on the screen.
5.12 12-Alarm Report
In this menu you can see the last ten alarms. These alarms have caused the receiver
to reset.

Software for Digiality SMATV 212S can be downloaded from the Kjaerulff 1 website:
www.kjaerulff1.com
After downloading the file, please extract it to a folder. You can then update the
receiver. Please follow the instructions you find together with the software.
