Snack ideas<br />
<strong>Health</strong>y snacks to use between meals include:<br />
• chopped fruit and vegetables, eg peeled apple, pear, peach, banana, orange, carrot,<br />
cucumber;<br />
• bread, toast, scones, pancakes;<br />
• natural yogurt or plain fromage frais - add your own fruit <strong>for</strong> extra flavour;<br />
• cheese.<br />
Snacks that contain quite a lot of sugar should only be given occasionally<br />
between meals. These include:<br />
• flavoured yogurt, flavoured fromage frais;<br />
• low-sugar rusks;<br />
• plain biscuits, eg Rich Tea, Marie, Digestive.<br />
