JOGASHIMA ISLAND
Jogashima Island is a tiny island off the tip of the Miura Peninsula. A toll bridge runs from the
mainland to the island. A small fishing village and sandy beaches are on the western end and a lovely
park (Jogashima Park) is on the eastern end. Other points of interest are the Jogashima Lighthouse
from which you can see Izu Peninsula, Ooshima Island and Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture and the
nearby Misaki Fish Market, open 0800-1000, (keep in mind that they are not open every day and have no
set schedule - but you may get lucky!).
