Brightening up a corner
of reception at the
Clarendon centre is a
cabinet displaying some
of the very professional
looking work the textile
group have been doing.
Sharon Williams - who runs
the group - explained that
the brightly coloured
cushion was made by
Chan and the hen - which
is a doorstop - and is
called ‘Dorothy’ was
made by Nora. (It was
filled with sand to give it
weight). Other examples
by different members are
on show too and took 2/3
weeks to complete. An
interesting group -
especially for those with
nimble fingers. Check
it out! Also a sample of
jewellery items that have
been made by the
jewellery group in silver.
