The Ministers <strong>of</strong> Health <strong>of</strong> the Members States, meeting in Brussels<br />
on 29 November 1984 and in Venice 3 and 4 May 1985, acknowledged<br />
the need to reduce health care expenses and urged the Commission to<br />
look in depth at some related issues one <strong>of</strong> them being the<br />
planification <strong>of</strong> health care pr<strong>of</strong>essions in the Community.<br />
The present report was prepared by the Hospital Committee <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>European</strong> Community and it covers some <strong>of</strong> the major issues related<br />
to paramedical personnel in Member States.<br />
It is a useful and unique document which will be <strong>of</strong> interest to<br />
health planners and to health economists.<br />
