<strong>Film</strong> Club<br />
<strong>Maynooth</strong> <strong>Film</strong> for <strong>All</strong> <strong>Film</strong> Club in collaboration with<br />
access>Cinema screens a fantastic mix of high quality cinema from<br />
around <strong>the</strong> world. This is your chance <strong>to</strong> v<strong>ie</strong>w some great s<strong>to</strong>r<strong>ie</strong>s of<br />
different lives in o<strong>the</strong>r places and <strong>the</strong> opportunity <strong>to</strong> meet some of<br />
<strong>the</strong> filmmakers <strong>the</strong>mselves.<br />
We screen on or about <strong>the</strong> first Wednesday of <strong>the</strong> month from<br />
Oc<strong>to</strong>ber <strong>to</strong> May and membership is open <strong>to</strong> students and local<br />
community alike. Br<strong>ie</strong>f introductions and informal post-screening<br />
talks facilitated by Denis Condon Lecturer, NUIM and Q&A sessions<br />
with invited guests provide opportunit<strong>ie</strong>s for critical interaction<br />
with film. Which was better <strong>the</strong> film or <strong>the</strong> book? Our new Cinema<br />
Book Club @ <strong>Maynooth</strong> Community Library attempts <strong>to</strong> answer that<br />
question once and for all. Between Oc<strong>to</strong>ber and December we’re<br />
showing a couple of Hollywood classics with FREE admission <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Library on Main Street. See programme listing for dates and time.<br />
We are committed <strong>to</strong> supporting Irish filmmakers at all stages of<br />
development and have enjoyed showing critically acclaimed films<br />
followed by lively discussions with award winning direc<strong>to</strong>rs, ac<strong>to</strong>rs<br />
and producers. This year following a ‘call out’ <strong>to</strong> established and<br />
first time <strong>Kildare</strong> based filmmakers offering <strong>the</strong>m <strong>the</strong> opportunity<br />
<strong>to</strong> show and celebrate <strong>the</strong>ir short films a selection will accompany<br />
each feature. Make sure <strong>to</strong> complete your membership application<br />
<strong>to</strong> receive regular updates on up-coming films and additional<br />
screenings outside our core programme with <strong>the</strong> chance <strong>to</strong> propose<br />
and vote on titles you would like <strong>to</strong> see included.<br />
