The Philippines is divided into 13 regions for
purposes of administration. Each region is composed
of several provinces. All survey of lands within the
region is conducted by surveyors and the Regional Land
Officer approves the survey plans. In each region
are several District Land Offices, usually one for
each district. A district is equivalent to one
province.
