The chi square value of 168.564 which is X 2 , degree<br />

of freedom 4 at a low significance value (typically less than<br />

0.05) is checked in the chi square table. The result is 9.488<br />

and based on formular 1, we reject the null hypothesis.<br />

Therefore, entertainment television plays a significant role in<br />

shaping the social behaviour of teenagers.<br />

For the second hypothesis are want to find out<br />

whether teenagers' exposure to entertainment television<br />

plays an insignificant role in shaping their social behaviour.<br />

In testing the hypothesis, we refer to the formular stated<br />

earlier. Furthermore, the strength and relationship among the<br />

variables in the chi square test were examined.
