The Fair is a promotional platform for bands and<br />
emerging artists of Catalonia. First music market<br />
of the season. Wide in generes, The FiM performs<br />
50 artists in front of public and professionals.<br />
Famous catalan bands as Mishima, Antònia Font<br />
or La Pegatina, once played at the FiM, when no<br />
one knew them.<br />

The Traditional and Folk Music International Festival<br />
of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Festival Internacional<br />
de Música Popular i Tradicional de Vilanova i la<br />
Geltrú) has been hold since 1981 all along the<br />
third weekend of the month of July. It is the oldest<br />
festival devoted to ethnic and roots music in Spain<br />
having been far ahead of this time. A long list of<br />
artists from the <strong>Catalan</strong> Countries and all over the<br />
world has paid a visit to the Festival throughout<br />
its history. Some of the names on the roll have<br />
become internationally well-known and famous<br />
artists. With about thirty performances, the Festival<br />
offers different timetables daily from morning to<br />
night, different audiences are gathered, both locals<br />
and visitors, and intergenerational audience.<br />
