18. In fact, the GoZ led drive for extension officers was so great that it had<br />
to lower the entry level requirements for this post. Whereas previously one<br />
had to have at least two ‘A’ level passes at <strong>and</strong> a Diploma from a<br />
recognised tertiary college <strong>in</strong> the period just after Fast Track resettlement,<br />
the GoZ recruited <strong>in</strong>to the position of extension officer even those with<br />
only five ‘O’ level subjects, as long as one of these was Agriculture.<br />
