With Share Capital we propose joint ventures 50/50 to set up branches with strategic partners throughout Africa. For example in East Africa 2 of the world’s<br />

fastest growing economies exist here and we are poorly represented:<br />

• Kenya<br />

• Burundi<br />

• Mozambique<br />

• Uganda<br />

• Burundi<br />

• Mauritius<br />

• DRC<br />

• Rwanda<br />

• Ethiopia<br />

• Sudan<br />

6. We receive enquiries from most of these countries and are unable to assist effectively. The West Coast is a similar story – think of Angola for example.<br />

7. This project will require an estimated R50 million to set up and probably about R10 million in Marketing from normal turnover, however an extra R6<br />

million in Year 1 for a special marketing project (Investment funds)<br />

8. We can use the already well developed business plan to get Strategic partners (each country in Africa is unique)<br />

9. The same plan can be implemented in other countries. South America has a very similar financial and demographic structure to South Africa with<br />

similar domestic/ commercial/industrial physical security needs. We intend purchasing an existing company in the industry and initially introducing<br />

our technology, product range and success formula to Sao Paulo.<br />

Distribution Growth Proposed<br />

1. Besides the obvious increase in current product range and current infrastructure, we want to add 2 substantial strategies to <strong>Maxidor</strong>s growth plan:<br />

a. Bargain Security Shops (Worldwide) (Security Exchange)<br />

i. Coupled with the obvious downturn in the world’s economy, and the increased need for home security, many people would prefer to<br />

install their own products<br />

We have a well-developed strategy around opening up fully stocked bargain and semi-used products that will revolutionise the industry<br />

b. Engineering tender and projects department<br />

i. We have recently been involved in specialised designs for the banks (ATM bombings) and mines (High speed lift doors)<br />

There are many specialised requirements that we are not getting to, due to the fact that we don’t advertise that we can do it, we don’t<br />

have the resources<br />

Tenders and projects that come our way are generally neglected due to the commission based sales force<br />

A group of engineers, tendering with cost accountants in a separate department on all physical security and safety barriers will add<br />

dramatically to the turnover of the business<br />

v. Offices are planned to be built in Alrode, Johannesburg, on our current premises next to the factory<br />

Acquisitions<br />

With Share capital we intend to purchase some of our regular suppliers and possibly enter new markets – e.g. our plastic moulding company (Plastic<br />

technology has developed substantially and very strong polymers are available).
