Un 0.8 glass balustrade Un 0.8 glass balustrades are intended for other situations that do not involve a residential or meeting function. The “U” stands for ‘Utiliteit’ (Dutch for non-residential) and 0.8 KN/m for the line load that applies against the top side of the balustrade. The “n” stands for next to the floor. Definition of “other rooms”: all rooms that do not have a residential, cell or meeting function. <strong>SB</strong>-Railing side wall profi les We have different types of glass balustrades that we will further describe in the pages that follow. We, for example, have profiles that can be fitted against the floor and profiles that will be on top of the floor. We also have a profile in our range that can be used as a partition between two rooms. Profiles can be easily fitted by third parties because of the modular construction of the system. You can order every component of the glass balustrade separately from us. We supply different glass balustrades that are fitted against the floor such as the W for residential applications and the Un 0.8 and Un 3 for non-residential applications. The systems have not been developed whilst sitting behind a desk but in practice. AMG has many years of experience in the fitting of railing systems. This means that the customer can be assured that the systems are easy to fit and multifunctional. This is a double whammy since it will give a pleasant end result that can be fitted quickly with a minimum of effort. Structural strength calculation The <strong>SB</strong>-Railing glass balustrades naturally meet legal regulations (Buildings Decree). They are subjected to a line, point, impact and, if applicable, wind load. The line, point and wind load is based on calculations and the impact load is based on an impact test. Un 3 glass balustrade Un 3 glass balustrades are meant for situations where many people can gather simultaneously. The “U” stands for ‘Utiliteit’ (Dutch for non-residential) and the 3 for the line load that applies against the top side of the balustrade. The “n” stands for next to the floor. Definition of a ‘meeting function’: a use function for people coming together for art, culture, religion, communication, child care, issuing beverages for consumption on site and watching sports. AMG 2 glass balustrade A new development in the AMG series is the AMG2. A profile that is also intended for fitting against the floor. The AMG2 profile has a 0.8 KN/m line load. The difference with the Un 0.8 profile is that this profile is smaller. Sometimes a 23 cm high profile such as the Un 0.8 cannot be used. This profile can then be used.
