Important Dates<br />

Applications available to all prospective incoming seventh graders.<br />

Deadline for <strong>ASB</strong> application. Applications must be turned into the <strong>Rancho</strong> <strong>Pico</strong> main office no later than<br />

3:30 Friday, March 29 th . If your application is not turned in by this deadline, it will not be accepted.<br />

April 10 th<br />

All eligible students will be contacted by this date with an invitation to attend their interview; you will<br />

be contacted via e-mail that you indicated to above; PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY!<br />

Interviews held at <strong>Rancho</strong> <strong>Pico</strong> from 4:00-6:00pm<br />

Final <strong>ASB</strong> selections will be emailed by 6:30 p.m.<br />

Summer Check-In for 2013-2014 school year<br />

<strong>ASB</strong> students be present to volunteer and prepare for check-in process.<br />

<strong>ASB</strong> students are required to assist with Summer Check-In<br />

In applying to be part of the <strong>Rancho</strong> <strong>Pico</strong> <strong>ASB</strong>, please consider the following:<br />

1. Applications must be postmarked by the deadline given.<br />

2. All seventh grade positions will be for a full school year. However, all students selected will be subject to quarterly review.<br />

If any <strong>ASB</strong> student does not fulfill the requirements of a student leader, that student may be dismissed<br />

from <strong>ASB</strong> and reassigned a different elective. As an <strong>ASB</strong> member, you must maintain a 2.5 GPA and not receive<br />

any grade lower than a C- on any report cards.<br />

3. All candidates will be evaluated by a committee of 8 th grade students and <strong>Rancho</strong> <strong>Pico</strong> staff members. Selections will be based<br />

upon your application and your interview.<br />

4. Applicants who pass the application screening will be assigned a group interview time. If you are selected to interview,<br />

you are encouraged to dress appropriately ( you will be working in groups on the floor) and arrive on time to your scheduled<br />

interview time.

1. All officers must uphold the high standards of <strong>Rancho</strong> <strong>Pico</strong> <strong>ASB</strong> and represent the school with<br />

student not maintaining high personal, academic, and behavioral standards both on and off<br />

campus may forfeit his/her office. _____________<br />

2. I understand that my job description may include working to set-up, implement, and clean-up<br />

summer activities, back-to-school night, assemblies, school dances, fundraisers, lunchtime<br />

activities, open house, awards nights, and all other <strong>ASB</strong> activities. _______________<br />

3. I understand that sometimes the set-up or clean-up of activities on campus may occasionally cause<br />

me to miss all or part of class, and I am still responsible for all the work missed during that time. I<br />

also understand that some activities require working before school, at brunch, at lunch, and<br />

outside of the school day. _______________<br />

4. I understand that as an <strong>ASB</strong> member my grade is determined by the following: through<br />

completion of student leadership projects, activity planning, attendance, and overall<br />

demonstration and development of character. _______________<br />

5. I understand that I currently must hold an 2.5 GPA (according to the 3 rd quarter report card), and I<br />

agree to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA throughout my term. I understand that failure to maintain a<br />

2.5 GPA or if I receive any grade lower than a C- in any class I will be disqualified from<br />
