FastBreak Cannulas
These splittable introducer cannulae are the ideal way to quickly and
easily introduce a fluid line into an animal. Simply thread the line through
the needle and introduce into the animal. Now pull back the needle by the
butterfly wings and split the needle in half to remove it from the line. It’s
that simple! Available in three color coded sizes for easy size recognition.
• Assure minimal trauma to the animal
• Reduce the number of skin incisions and the
time required to make a tunnel
Skin Tunneling Needles
These needles provide a quick and easy method of making subcutaneous
tunnels in research animals for routing catheters and electrode leads to
convenient exterior sites. They are constructed of tempered heavy wall
stainless steel tubing and come with semi-blunt 45° bevel points. The
needles are made with a through-hole in the handle, which is a
continuation of the needle lumen, to allow catheter feed-through. For
bundles of catheters and electrode leads that are too large for the lumen of
the needles, suture wire can be passed through the needles and used to
pull the bundles through the subcutaneous tunnel. Supplied in a set of 3.
