Pricing Policies 

Payment Due Date: Payments are due on the 30th calendar day after the 

later of: 1) the date of actual receipt of a proper invoice in the office 

designated to receive the invoice, or 2) the date the supplies are accepted 

by the Government. Acceptance is deemed to occur on the 7th calendar 

day after the date of delivery of supplies, unless otherwise specified in the 

individual delivery order. 

Services: List prices apply to products only. 

Shipping and Delivery 

HAWORTH reserves the right to ship products covered by a single order in 

more than one shipment. 

For U.S. Continental Shipments: All deliveries will be F.O.B. Destination. 

HAWORTH has the right to determine the carrier, method of shipment, 

and routing. Extra expense resulting from customer request for special 

carrier, shipping method, and/or routing will be billed to the customer. 

For Non-Continental U.S. & International Shipments: 

Overseas – International and non-continental U.S. INCOTERM-CIF 

(Cost of Goods, Insurance and Freight). 

HAWORTH’S U.S.A. Price List Catalogs include ocean freight and 

insurance to the port of destination in the receiving country. HAWORTH 

has the right to determine the carrier, method of shipment and routing. 

HAWORTH will contract with the insurer and provide minimal insurance 

coverage (CIF@110%) made payable to the buyer. Buyer is responsible to 

obtain greater insurance if so desired. Proof of delivery is a free on board 

bill of lading. 

Buyer will be responsible for all customs clearance and on-carriage from 

the receiving port in the destination country to the final destination.

HAWORTH’S U.S.A. Price List Catalogs include freight charges for normal 

surface transportation to a United States point of exportation within the 48 

contiguous states. HAWORTH has the right to determine the carrier, 

method of shipment and routing. 

Buyer will be responsible for all on-carriage and customs clearance from 

the point of exportation to the final destination. Buyer assumes risk of loss 

when goods are delivered to a United States point of exportation. 

Note: Under all shipping terms, extra expense resulting from buyer’s 

request for expedited transportation, special carrier, packaging, shipping 

method and/or routing will be billed to buyer. 

Return Material Authorization 

If the return is the fault of the government, the customer must request a 

return authorization through the HAWORTH Customer Service 

Department to return unused product. If HAWORTH agrees to repurchase 

the product, the customer must return it freight prepaid to HAWORTH, 

F.O.B. the original shipping point. The customer must also pay HAWORTH 

a handling charge equal to a maximum of 25 percent of the invoice 

product price. 

Use and Installation of Products 

HAWORTH recommends that its products be installed by certified 

installers according to HAWORTH’s written installation procedures. The 

customer agrees to use HAWORTH products properly; not to remove or 

alter safety devices, warnings, or operating instructions placed on products 

by HAWORTH; and to instruct employees as to the proper care and use of 

the products according to printed instructions.

Order Placement, Order Changes, and Cancellations

Orlando 

Cable Management 

To help you route power cords and communication cables around and through Orlando casegoods, we have 

designed several features into the products. We also offer several accessory products to bring electrical 

power and data to the desk height and route cords and cables down and around the product. 

Desks, returns, bridges and credenzas feature a continuous 1″(25mm) space between the modesty panel 

and the desk top to allow routing of cords and cables. 

Vertical storage units feature a continuous 2″(51mm) space between the top of the back panel and the bottom 

of the cabinet. This allows for routing of the task light power cord behind the back panel, and it also functions 

as the attachment location for a tackboard or grid. Additional power cords and communications cables can be 

routed through two crescent-shaped cutouts in the bottom edge of the back panel on the Vertical Storage Unit. 

Returns, bridges, and kneespace credenzas feature modesties that are easily detached for power. 

Another built-in cable routing feature is a cutout in the top corner of the pedestal and lateral file side panel 

within the kneewell. Used in conjunction with a field-installed grommet to route cords and cables from the desk 

top to the kneewell space of the casegood. For the convenience of desk-height power, an Enhanced Power 

Module can be field installed. The Enhanced Power Module provides electrical and data access to the desk 

(may be installed above or below the casegoods top).

Storage Capacities 

Orlando offers several standard storage features as well as some unique storage options. All desk, return 

and credenza pedestal file (12″) drawers offer full-extension interior drawer access to front-to-back letter filing 

or side-to-side legal filing. Box drawers (6″) offer 3/4-extension interior drawer access. 

Standard pedestal accessories include one pencil tray per pedestal in top 6″ drawer, and one divider for every 

6″ box drawer. 

Lateral file drawers are available in two heights, 6″ and 12″. Twelve inch drawers will accommodate front-toback 

letter or legal filing or side-to-side legal filing. Each 12″ lateral file drawer is provided with two front-toback 

filing bars. 

In addition to offering standard pedestals and two-drawer lateral files, a unique combination of open shelves 

and project drawers are available with the standard 6″ high and 12″ high file drawers. Desks offer the open 

storage shelf above a box/file pedestal option. Returns and credenzas offer two options; side-by-side open 

storage shelves with dividers above a 6″-high and 12″-high lateral file combination, and side-by-side double 

project drawers above a 6″-high and 12″-high lateral file combination.

All exposed veneers are plain-sliced and book-matched; drawer fronts, per 

pedestal, are matched in sets for consistent grain and color. Beech is rift-cut. 

The EcoShield finish uses water based stains and water based UV cured 

urethane top coat to provide a consistent, hard and durable surface. Wood 

pores are open to reflect the nature of each particular species. EcoShield is a 

low VOC, low formaldehyde emitting finish. 

Because of the natural properties of wood, variations of grain pattern and finish color can be expected. 

Materials used in the manufacturing of products are carefully selected to promote consistent and acceptable 

color. Wood is susceptible to color change from long-term exposure to sunlight. 

To keep your wood writing surfaces looking beautiful for the life of the product, it is highly recommended that 

a blotter pad, glass or plexiglass surface be used under writing instruments. 

Also, Orlando wood casegoods are available with select laminates for use on tops and writing surfaces. 

Edge/Drawer/Pull/Leg Detail 

All Orlando worksurfaces feature a radiused solid wood edge on the user’s and visitor’s side of the top. The 

other two sides feature a square wood edge banding. Bumper and round tables feature the radiused edge 

except on the straight edge of the table which features the square wood edge banding.

ADA guidelines.

Wood Finish/Color Legend 

Because of the natural properties of wood, variations of grain and finish color can be expected. Haworth carefully 

selects materials used in the manufacturing of products to ensure consistent and acceptable color. 

Wood is susceptible to color change from exposure to UV rays. Haworth controls this by using surface finishes to 

reduce color change. However, change may be more evident in light-colored finishes. 

Haworth wood products are available with either an EcoShield water-based finish or conversion varnish finish. 

EcoShield water-based and conversion varnish finished products are not designed to go together and are not 

recommended for use within the same space. 

Orlando has a water-based, UV cured EcoShield finish.

Procedure 

To confirm approval of or request new approval for COM’s, contact the Haworth Inquiry Center (1.800.426.8562), or

have selected has already been tested and approved for use on our product. 

If the fabric is approved, and the directional orientation (directional rightway, directional railroad, or 

non-directional) of the tested fabric has been confirmed, then refer to the appropriate column in the chart for 

yardage requirements. 

Steps to follow to calculate fabric usage: 

1) Identify product type and size. 

2) Determine method in which fabric is to be cut (directional rightway, directional railroad or non-directional). 

3) Determine fabric roll width. 

4) Find corresponding fabric usage value from the table. 

5) Calculate fabric required using the formula below: 

Fabric usage = number of units x number of sides with fabric x fabric

PRODUCT NON-OBSOLESCENCE AND WARRANTY POLICY 

This North American Haworth Product Non-Obsolescence and Warranty Policy (the “policy”) applies to products manufactured after August 1, 2013. For 

products manufactured before this date please refer to the policy published in the NA Price List when purchased or contact your local Authorized Haworth 

Dealer*. All Haworth products are warranted for 24 hour /7dayuseoverthelength of the Applicable Warranty Period as set forth below. 

Haworth, Inc. or Haworth, Ltd., (each called “Haworth”) will make a good faith effort to maintain product compatibility within our various generations of 

integrated product platforms to provide our customers with spaces that adapt to change. Under our non-obsolescence policy, we commit to provide our 

customers with products of comparable function or operational characteristics for a term equal to the Applicable Warranty Period. Haworth fabrics and finishes 

must be updated periodically to maintain the market appeal of our products and respond to the demands and changing preferences of our customers. As a 

result, we or the manufacturer may discontinue some fabrics and finishes before expiration of the Applicable Warranty Period. 

If a new product purchased or leased from Haworth or from an Authorized Haworth Dealer proves to be defective (as defined below) while the product is still 

in the possession of the initial purchaser or lessee and if they, within the Applicable Warranty Period, send notice of the defect to Haworth by electronic mail 

(customerservice@haworth.com), then, except as provided below, Haworth will, at Haworth’s option, either repair or replace the product, at Haworth’s 

expense, or refund the purchase price of the product. Except as provided below, a product shall be considered “defective” if Haworth finds that it is defective in 

material or workmanship and if the defect materially impairs the value of the product to the purchaser or lessee. The applicable warranty period begins onthe 

day the product is manufactured. If a product that the purchaser or lessee references in a notice of defect was not installed by a Haworth Certified installer 

and/or reconfigured by a Haworth-trained installer, then the product may not be considered defective and Haworth will not be obligated to repair or replace it 

or to refund its price. 

PRODUCTS / APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD 

LIFETIME 

All Haworth products are warranted for lifetime except products, 

components and materials described below: 

TWELVE YEARS 

All Haworth NA manufactured seating is warranted for 24/7 multiple shift use 

by persons up to 325 lbs and includes the framework, mechanisms, seating 

foam, seat & back mesh and seating glides & casters. 

All wood or wood framed products. 

TEN YEARS 

All wall products (excluding soft close door mechanisms warranted for Two 

Years), electrical components (excluding Power Base AI and workware 

products), electrical accessories, fixed task lighting (excluding LED lighting), 

adjustable keyboard pads, monitor arms and products that are at any time 

used in a classroom or educational environment (other than administration 

areas) except as limited or described below: 

FIVE YEARS 

Fabric scrims and fabrics rated Heavy Duty (A) under the Association of 

Contract Textiles Guidelines, leather, vertical use markerboard laminates, 

user-adjustable worksurface mechanisms, gel arm caps, thermofused 

laminates, slow close mechanisms, LED lighting, electronic ballasts used in 

task lighting, horizontal glass or thermoplastic table assemblies and Systems 

Accessories. 

THREE YEARS 

workware products, Hoop products (excludes any warranty for surface 

damage such as scratches, dents or abrasions), plastic ultraviolet light color 

fastness and fabrics rated General Contract (a) under the Association of 

Contract Textiles Guidelines. 

ONE TO FIVE YEARS** 

Products that are manufactured outside North America and sold into the 

North American market. 

ONE YEAR 

Horizontal use markerboard laminate, soft palm rest, mouse pad insert and 

translucent edging. 

Each Haworth “specials” product will be warranted for the same applicable warranty period of the comparable catalogue product unless otherwise stated on 

the specials solutions department inquiry response. 

All software is without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. 

All service parts are warranted for two years or the remaining balance of the assembly’s original warranty period, whichever is longer. 

*An Authorized Haworth Dealer is any dealer or retailer that sells and installs within their primary contracted area and/or under the DealerLink Program 

Agreement. 

**The Applicable Warranty Period for each such product is specified in Haworth’s price list for the product. 

A product will not be considered to be defective, and Haworth will not repair, or replace it or refund its price if the product (1) is a consumable product, such as 

a lamp; (2) is “Customer’s Own Material” (i.e. material specified by the purchaser or lessee that is not a standard Haworth product offering, such as Haworth 

Alliance fabrics); (3) is not installed and used as recommended in Haworth’s written specification, installation and user guides; (4) has been otherwise 

misused or suffered abusive damage or (5) is a product that is manufactured by a third-party supplier from whom Haworth purchases it for resale without 

incorporating it into Haworth product (in which case Haworth will assign to the purchaser or lessee any warranty that the manufacturer provides), unless 

otherwise specified by Haworth in writing. 

A defect in material or workmanship does not include damage to a product, or failure of a product to operate or perform properly or to maintain appearance, 

caused by (a) normal wear and tear; (b) an Act of God or transportation; (c) a product alteration made without Haworth’s express written authorization; (d) the 

natural variation of color, grain or texture found in wood and leather; (e) the natural aging found in materials such as wood, fabric and leather which results in 

colors shifting during use; (f) dye lot variations in fabric, leather or wall covering (g) the natural patina of leather during use; (h) “puddling” of leather or faux 

leather; or (i) reverse crocking of dyes from clothing onto our seating materials. 

EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, HAWORTH DOES NOT MAKE A WARRANTY AS TO ANY PRODUCT AND, IN PARTICULAR, DOES NOT MAKE A 

WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Product repair or replacement or refund of the price, at Haworth’s 

option, in accordance with this Policy, is the purchaser’s or lessee’s exclusive remedy for a product defect. Haworth shall not have tort liability with respect to a 

product, and Haworth shall not be liable for any consequential, economic, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages arising from a product defect. 

Haworth shall not be liable for repair or product placement due to improper installation or any defect in materials used for installation which are not 

manufactured, sold or supplied by Haworth.
